10-Minute Introduction Call
Let’s be honest, I’m not the only SEO copywriter you’ve come across. In fact, you’ve probably contacted several others who offer similar services. So how do you decide who’s the best writer for you?
I’m a big believer in building relationships because it’s important to me to be treated as a person, not a number. Most clients tell me they’re looking for a personal connection. They prefer to work with one dedicated SEO writer instead of an agency where that personal touch is often missing.
So, once you’ve completed my contact form, I prefer to set up a 10-minute phone call to give you the opportunity to ask questions. You’ll soon figure out if we’re the right fit.
The next step is for you to fill out a copywriting brief. It’s like a questionnaire which gives me the information I need to prepare for your one-hour website consultation.
It’s helpful l to add as much detail as possible to help me understand what you’re hoping for and why you’ve decided to call in the help of a professional SEO copywriter.
One-Hour LinkedIn Career Consultation
I’ll schedule your one-hour website consultation during working hours on a day and a time that suits you. Most consultations take place via Zoom as I prefer to use video and I can record the session. However, if you’d rather talk over the phone, that’s fine too.
During our one hour together we’ll discuss the content of the brief and I’ll ask additional questions to make sure I understand your business inside out.
Maybe you feel anxious about a video call with someone you don’t know that well, and that’s completely understandable. The best piece of advice I can give you: just be yourself.
There’s no need to pretend or put up a facade. I’m simply here to give you the opportunity to talk about your business and anything else that’s relevant. I’ll make notes as you speak – I’m an old-fashioned writer in that sense who likes to use pen and paper.
Two Rounds of Revisions
Armed with all the necessary information, I set to work to send you a first draft within five to seven working days. You then have a period of 14 days from receiving that first draft to review your website copy twice.
In other words, you review the first draft using Microsoft Word Track Changes to make edits, write comments and maybe add additional information. I use your detailed feedback to write a second draft. You have another opportunity to edit the copy which will enable me to prepare your completed web copy.
The entire process including your web consultation and two rounds of revisions takes roughly three to four weeks. Of course, the faster you review the drafts, the sooner you’ll have your new website copy.
